Don survived the fickle finger of fate. That makes 9 months being cancer-free. Don said the doctor said all he needs is an invitation to a bar-b-que. He's getting tired of my cooking and Mickey D's. I ate gizzards tonight. They reminded me of goat.

Thank you for the well wishes. Those irish are hard to get rid of, ain't they?
Great news, RB. Give Uncle Don a hug for me. I'm so glad for him (and you). Yes, the Irish are hard to get rid of -- most of the people in my family went well into their 80s -- and when they were born, their life expectancy was around 50!

You sure know how to make someone feel old.... don't you?

The first movie I remember seeing at a drive-in theater was "Black Beauty"

Oh, lordy, that does make me feel my years. The first one I remember seeing all the way through at a drive in was some kind of outer space thing where aliens invaded the earth with flying saucers - scared me silly. But I also remember seeing Johnny Weismuller play Tarzan in a regular movie theater. And the Honeymooners and The Life of Riley were prime time on TV.

RB, you're asking for it.

That's probably because you were a good girl. I'm sure GP would've had the windows fogged up in a hurry.

We used to go every weekend seems like. I used to borrow my folks chevy impala and we always snuck someone in the trunk. One time we had three people sneak in the trunk. Had to save our money for brewskis.

We used to laugh at the commercials~SPACE AGE PIZZA! AT THE SNACK BAR NOW! I remember seeing a Beatle's movie back when I was about 5 years old. There was a playground right by the snack bar. Those were the good ol' days.

We used to go to the drive in to see a movie someone we knew had already seen. They would fill us in on the story. When mom and dad asked how the movie was, I could tell them ALL about it.
