I was in tier 2 when my benefit year one ended.

Thanks!
It is my understanding that if you qualify for any of the extensions in your new year you qualify for all tiers. If you do get extensions in the new benefit year then all of year one goes out the window.

I'm basing this on all of the posts I've read on numerous forums.... always the same.
My 2nd year UI ends right on May30th. I'll be right ahead of the June 2nd deadline, however I don't think that'll matter with a pullforward... I have this sick feeling I better find a way to get some income somewhow put back for bills for at least 3 weeks of June. I have 5 weeks to pull a rabbit out of a hat!
Just makes me very sick inside
It is very frustrating. This might sound crazy, but I actually seem to get more accomplished by sending an e-mail over to their customer service. In the past, I've sent them two e-mails on two separate occasions regarding my eligibility and some other issue...I think I had unknown active issues on my account. And within two days, I had both of those issues resolved. So...I just shot them an e-mail now...annnnnnnnd I'll call them again, tomorrow after I check to make sure it still says benefits exhausted.

But you are right...not one rep I've talked to mentions anything about a pull forward. This last one kinda brushed it off with her "call back later" comment. And a few others that I've talked to act like they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Frightening, to say the least.

Thanks for the response and I also want to thank JDLJR for responding. It appears I did qualify for EUC on my 2nd year. The woman I spoke with was extremely rude and refused to answer if pull forward exists.

She kept replying you are entitled to regular UI only and nothing else! Then she stated I cannot see into the future, so how can I tell you if you qualify?

This is what I was thinking:
Well idiot the future is now, since my 2nd benefit year is up and I am wondering if I qualify for pull forward!

I even asked her "hypothetically" is it possible for anyone/or any scenario where they can recieve a pull forward when their 2nd benefit ends? This moron just became louder and more upset in her tone.

Anyway I am glad folks here helped answer my question and I needed to rant....

(would have if I had known to turn around and reapply). I called this morning and was told that I was done, I then asked about my benefits from last year. They wanted to know how I knew about that . She then reopened my claim and said if it worked I would be able to do my weekly certification tomorrow. She didn't say anything about the pull forward happening once a week. If they pull forward again tomorrow would I be able to see it in the morning. Just wondering if it doesn't work in the morning if I should call again or wait a couple of days. The not knowing is killing me.
I hope there aren't reps out there that are knowingly withholding information about pull forwards. You shouldn't have to ask to have a pull forward, and it shouldn't matter how you know about it.

I have not heard of doing a B1 (reopening the claim) to get the benefits from a previous year to pull forward, ALTHOUGH, the "pull forward" programming that is run once a week may, indeed, simply be a B1 transaction to reopen the claim! I don't know what it is Raleigh does on Tuesday evenings other than it brings the money forward from an old benefit year to a new benefit year. This week I was told that pull forwards are going to be done on Thursday. Hopefully yours works from what the rep did, I may have to ask my regional claims specialist if that's all a pull forward is, and see if I can intervene on some claims before the pull forward programming runs.

I know there is.
I refuse to deal with my local office whent the time comes, I'll wait on hold everyday to get a response out of somebody who knows what they're doing up in Raleigh.
Please post an update when you find out if your pullforward goes through, I know there are many of us here that are either in this situatuion now , or it'll be coming up very soon
Thanks!

Conversely, I never hesitate to tell anyone that is waiting for a pull forward that that's what needs to happen next. That I am aware of we've never been told not to mention pull forwards, that seems crazy to me. Causes unnecessary worry and frustration, just like a couple people on here who were told it would take MONTHS for the recent phase out date programming to be updated in our system and the claims to start paying again. Completely false, as I knew it was. The programming is already done and the legislation was signed last week. I don't get it sometimes.

I have to say that folks in Raleigh refuse to use the term "pull forward," and they are careful to restrict how much they tell you. The typical response is, "that's just the way it works," and as I stated on here a couple of days ago, one rep even told me that EB from my old year and Tier 4 were the same thing.

This is just further evidence of how fortunate we are to have jdljr on here to help. The problem is, that when you get the real lowdown from him, you have to be very careful when speaking to another rep who thinks you are clueless. I try not to call unless I absolutely have to, b/c as the stress of the situation continues to wear on me, I am getting increasingly less patient and I don't want to, in effect, bite the hand that feeds me. Having said that, that hand is not feeding me at the moment, I have been out of my medication (diabetic) for 2 weeks, and I'm feeling a bit desperate at this point, so I hope the programming issues get resolved quickly!

I'll be persistent.
I just know what you've gone through, so It gets a little overwhelming knowing that I'm going to be dealing with all of this coming up.
Would've so much easier if all of the reps were up front (like jdljr)about pullforwards.
Then they could tell us,
"You have to wait (x) amount of weeks, but it will happen and a pullforward DOES exist".
Seems that 80% of them state the opposite, such a mess.
Can you remind me again just how long you had to wait for your pulllforward benefits to kick in?
I know they paid you in a lump sum, right?
I have 9 weeks left on my tier 2 from yrs 1, so I have no clue how all of this will transpire.

I'm sorry about your medication Deerest, I hate to hear that!
I agree about using the word "pullforward"
I learned the hard way. You could of heard a pin drop at my local office when I brought the subject up at my RES meeting... I felt like I was on a TV commercial and everyone stopped to look at me, ha!

My job coach also wouldn't discuss the subject with me at all.
My other two inccidents were via phone converstaion with Raleigh, once again no info. or knowledge on a pullforward period, end of conversation.
It wears the soul down playing the who knows what games.. I do understand the confusion and hectic craziness most reps at esc are going through, especially these past 6 months, however whew!
I really dread the phone call I'll have to make come June., please correct me if I'm wrong..? Is there any way to get your benefits from yr one pulled forward without the (manual) transaction done by a rep?

Bless you for worrying about other's frustrations and worries, I know your a rare breed jdljr
I can handle waiting for things.
If a rep knows the info, I'd appreciate an honest answer and the kindness and respect back that I show to them on the phone.
If they tell me I'd have to wait a month for a pullforward I can deal with that better than them telling me, it doesn't exist and when UI is finished that's it period....
Oh well, I know many still have it alot worse than I do, I'm not having to go without my meds, have food to eat and don't have small children to worry about.
I try to remain upbeat as much as possible and keep sending out resumes' and app's every day like a crazy woman

((Thanks)) for hanging around so long on this thread, you've helped
so~ so very many of us
