Anyone who brings fast food for themselves at a family meal prepared by others is a monster. My daughter is a vegetarian but we'd never get her a 7 layer burrito and bring it in at Christmas dinner! She would eat everything without meat and if still hungry afterward she can eat at home. She's 16 and wouldn't dream of being this rude.
I've never brought fast food to a family meal, but......being the only vegetarian in the family, I sometimes do have to bring my own food to family dinners if I want to have a main dish.
Women and holidays...putting the ovary in overreact.
[Lol...I crack myself up.]
I'm stealing that one.

Just breathe. Breeaathe. You & the OP could use some meditation. It'll put you into a zen state of mind and stuff like this will roll off your backs. Really.
I wouldn't mind so much if it just a quiet family dinner but an extended family gathering during the holidays is just unacceptable. Being a mom, I have cooked many a family dinner for gatherings and it's a time consuming and exhausting process. To bring fast food? You might as well slap me.

That's your definition of "a monster?"
My definition includes things like people who murder others, kidnappers, pedophiles, people who harm animals.
Gotta say I never thought "bringing your own fast food to a family dinner" to be on the same level as the above.
Someone would be done AT THE TABLE. She was specifically talking about the table but there were other seats available NOT at the table.
Right, at the larger eating area with the little kids she's not related to, while her dad and grandparents squished around the smaller table. I keep suggesting that the OP just switch the groups next time, especially since she's stated that both tables are the same height so it's not like Grandma has to clamber up on a high stool. Seat the adults together.

But would you pick up a 7 layer burrito on the way. Sure it's "vegetarian" but.... I understand bringing something rather than break a diet (whether allergy related or preference) but wouldn't you bring enough for all and forgo fast food?
You think there is drama here about bringing fast food to Xmas dinner, go to the "bring your own beer thread"
People trying to attribute it to someone else their made up stories, well this thread doesn't come close!
You're the only one causing drama on that thread, calling people who drink alcohol drug users.
