Sounds like we will start with the effects of a potentially huge Winter storm at about 1PM Friday. The bright spot is that the storm seems to be pretty fast moving.

I imagine the stores will be mobbed as usual today.

Massachusetts is supposed to be hit way harder than NYC. I recall seeing a report about 8 inches here and Lord knows what over there. More than 8

Meh. Despite Sandy, I still feel that forecasters tend to be alarmists, and I'm always irritated by their parental-type advice. When people complain about the nanny-state aspects of Bloomberg, I'm surprised they don't complain about media weather people piping, "Better bring an umbrella today!" or "Experts advise wearing layers."

Yes, everyone will be running out to the store for milk, bread and eggs. Seems everyone makes french toast during snowstorms

It's because most people despite what they say love drama... They're only feeding the public what the public wants to see... Comparing them to the nanny state Bloomberg has created is blasphemous...
