They are said on NBC that people should leave work tomorrow by 2PM if possible but the effects of the storm are going to be felt in the morning already.
Meh. Despite Sandy, I still feel that forecasters tend to be alarmists, and I'm always irritated by their parental-type advice. When people complain about the nanny-state aspects of Bloomberg, I'm surprised they don't complain about media weather people piping, "Better bring an umbrella today!" or "Experts advise wearing layers."
The weather people don't ticket you if you ignore their advice.
Do people still go to the club during blizzards in NYC?
I don't know. But on NBC this morning they showed people lined up to buy standby tickets to see Justin Bieber. The two young women interviewed are/were prepared to stay overnight tonight in their tent.
I love how some of the guests/officials on NBC are telling people to stay home before a storm like this as if regular working people can make the decision to do that...
the city is much more crowded than decades
ago when it used to snow even more, so the
storms are more dangerous for people to
get around.
