Log 6xx at 80% AMI with CB preference. I Was asked to submit docs. Did anyone else notice the email asked for different docs than housing connect portal says to submit? I only sent the docs requested but now I’m a little worried I should I send a birth certificate a projected PNL for self employment income etc.
Really hoping I get this one. I can’t do a fifth floor walk up with my laundry anymore
Good luck you should be fine yes I was advise to submit documents to different website ( a different lottery )
Congratulations. Can you inform us when they approve your documents. I’m hoping for this lottery!
Knock on wood! I emailed asking for confirmation they received my documents on Friday, but no one answered. The deadline for submitting documents is Monday, so I’m assuming they are not allowed to start moving forward with log#’s that are found eligible until after the last day to submit docs.
Update: Just received my application packet to fill and sign for NYCHDC. Not sure if this means I’m going to get a unit but it seems like a good sign! Anyone know if this means I’m likely going to be shown any units, or do they submit all applicants in the first batch?
Hello my docs had a deadline of aug 24th I noticed someone said they had an earlier deadline, so will units be gone by the time I submit? I already submitted but I was hoping to have availability on units.
Also how long do you all think the process will take from here? As far as having deposit ready if selected? From what I understand people have been living in this unit for months already.

Do you know your log # (just the first digit and xx’s for anonymity) and did you have CB preference (community board area in the same area as the building)? Those will effect what order you’re in. The housing lottery period just ended so we must be in the first batch of applications being processed, so I don’t think anyone has gotten a unit yet unless they went warp speed through this historically long process. Or they were gathering apps before the lotto ended.
50% of the units are reserved for CB members, and other hold outs, those have to processed before any other applications are processed. The document deadline is dependent on when you first respond to the email, so that likely just means that applicant was ready as soon as they were contacted. As long as your log number is low, and you are eligible they can’t skip ahead of you in line and process other people. I imagine if we’re still going through the process that there are still units available—especially this early.
We just gotta stay positive good luck with your application!

Thank you and best of luck to you as well. I’m 5x. I’m not sure how cb works but I live in the area. Double digits it seems promising I just recently started a new job I should be okay I’m concerned about my credit score that’s all but fingers crossed.

Nice! You’re closer than I am! I’m at 6xx. I’m guessing since they’ve reach out twice and my application for signature includes the interview that I’m probably going to get to the interview stage but you never know.
It sounds like you’re in the right CB so that’s good. There’s just a preference for people who already live in the same neighborhood as the building.
For credit score, they aren’t allowed to disqualify anybody with a FICO score above 580 which isn’t too crazy of a bar to pass. Even if your score is lower than that, you may still be approved if your income looks good and you have a record of paying 12 months of rent at your current place.
