I just got a letter giving me an opportunity to appeal. Not sure what to do at this point and if it's even worth it.

Yes, of course. On the rejection letter there is 10 boxes and each box is a reason why such as information doesn't match, employment verification etc. These are just examples. I can't remember each one, so i mentioned in an earlier thread what my issue would be.

They said I can appeal, but not sure if it's worth my time and energy especially since the 1 bedroom is 1800.00. To me , that is not really affordable or a bargain.

If you can afford it, I would do it. It's rent controlled, so at some point, it will become a bargain.

I have not moved into the apartments - I am still waiting to hear back if someone else with a better log number is going to take the apartment I signed the floor plan for.

I called and of course the person who answered didn't want to help me. She gave me the run around.

Not even sure how I can appeal it at this point.

JHartigan, I'm going through the same thing. We were offered our dream apartment and when I called to see the progress of the appeal, they told me that someone else with a lower log number swooped in and signed the floor plan.

I'm going to call next Thursday to see what the progress is. Can you keep us updated? Thanks!

Sure thing, I_Need_A_Dishwasher

I'm probably missing something but it just doesn't make sense to have me sign a floor plan if I'm not the absolute best candidate and then have other people come in later. Whole thing seems backwards. However, they probably have their reasons.
