(There was no 'work zone' postings anywhere, and the officer did not mention this to me).
That doesn't make it okay to speed.

I remember saying that to a cop once. His responce was something like "It doesn't matter what other people are doing, I clocked YOU at XX".

Oh, right.

They should give speeding ticket fines out like they do in Sweden..it goes by your income..
A rich guy in Sweden two weeks ago got pulled over doing 105 in a 55..his fine was US $290,000

Now me I would pay ZERO in that case...I'm unemployed!

$300 ticket, payable by mail.

The cop said that I will not get points on my NJ license, if I mail the payment in.

Does anybody have experience with this?

I'm so pissed. I thought I was going about 75-ish.
Insurance points are different than motor vehicle points. Your Ins company will find this.

Cops don't belong out on the road giving out tickets. Who decided on that?
Tell your insurance company your car was parked, they can't charge you any more points if it was parked. Seriously you can advise them you didn't want to take the ride to fight it and you where parked. No guarantees but I'll say my insurance doesn't charge me anything extra.
