Did you do anything to **** the guy off? Why is he just harassing you?
I actually asked him what I did to him one day. He said "I don't like guineas". I thought it was a derogatory term for Italians but after some research learned its also used in a broader sense.
Im black and hispanic
Some people don't need a real reason to dislike you.

As I said, "He's a bully. Bullies don't need a reason. Their own twisted justification for their actions is all they need."

You are absolutely correct.
I just came back from the police station to follow up on some stuff. I took all my pictures and documentation. I told the police officer that I was there because he threatened me with a knife on 9/18. He went to look it up in the system and he was puzzled as to why the officers charged my neighbor with harassment. He said that it should have been an assault charge.
In the report my neighbor said to the police " I had some stuff in my hand and one of them was a knife but I didn't threaten her with it"
The police officer went on say that due to the laws that it is easier for the prosecutor to add all the other things he has been doing to the the charge of harassment and a judge can add assault if he deems it necessary. I filed another complaint and looking for places to move to the officer even suggested a few places. I'm looking into them.
How scary OP and I wish you good luck. I agree the courts/law will be of little help though. He basically has to hurt you before anything will be done. My parents had a neighbor down the street that just kind of bugged the rest. Like she'd keep knocking on doors, and made lots of noise at her home. She tore all her carpet up while screaming. My mom let her in once and had a heck of a time getting rid of her. We all got after mom for that one. The police visited a lot, but never did anything.
The lady ended up walking into traffic on the freeway and getting killed. She was older and sick and I feel bad she never got the help she needed. BUT, neighbors should never have to suffer from others. I wish you could do what the poster who makes total sense about your life being more important, and to just move. But I get you need $$$ to do that.

This is the type of story that spawned the popular Death Wish 1 and 2 movies, with the staring character Paul Kersey as well as protecting yourself because the police can't do it.
what is the crazy guy now thinking?
Wear a GoPro.
'Run Bambi run' is the unfortunate legal conclusion.
