I love this movie and wish I had it in my personal stash. I loved Michael Caine in this.

Recently watched "Mao's Last Dancer". Since I am a sucker for ballet, I really enjoyed it and the lead was a beautiful dancer. I was enthralled and it is based on actual events and people.

Another film I enjoyed, though you have to pay close attention was Layer Cake with Daniel Craig. Good movie. Stone with Robert DiNiro. Depressing but excellent acting by Ed Norton, one of my favorites.

eta: Watched a movie on You Tube called Pharoh's Army with Chris Cooper and it was excellent. Really made me stop and think about some things.....very well done.

Thanks for the mention of this movie, Annie. I adore ballet, too, so will have to check it out... haven't before heard of this one.

Agreed, I love Layer Cake. The dark humor, cinematography, brilliant acting, clever plot & dialogue & Daniel Craig never looked better... all combined make this a compelling film to watch. If anyone likes Guy Ritchie's films (they're some of my favorites), they'll most assuredly love this one.

Agree with Stone, as well. Good film, have to be a bit psyched to watch it as it's not an easy story, but very well done. The big surprise for me was Milla Jovovich, whose acting is quite impressive in this role.

The movie concept is not new and full of holes...yet, the drug-induced brilliant moments are quite realistic to an extent and superbly played by Bradley Cooper.
