I would think they were inspired by their own comic books but not follower of the Marvel enterprise really
It is interesting that Mike Nichols is really celebrated for his cerebral works and yet this one requires perfect blend of physical and psychological to pull off its success...

Another 48 hours. Decent enough film. Although the dynamic between Nolte and Murphy isn't as strong as the first. Not quite a classic, but worth a watch.
