Coco Before Chanel

Audrey Tatou did a good job, with her snappy dark eyes and gruff demeanor.
What a grim childhood.
I wanted to learn more about her success and how it came about, but this was Coco *before* Chanel.

Yeah, it is bad but intentionally bad which makes it good. I would argue that it actually has some bits of good acting the few times when it is not focused on bloody killings. Rutger Hauer's soliloquies in the interrogation room and the baby ward, for example.

Anyway, last movie I watched was Pink Floyd: The Wall. My wife told me that she didn't "get it". I explained that it is a film about a young man scarred by memories of a father taken away by war and an overbearing mother/authority figures. Further, it is about a man's alienation and how rock stars are falsely idolized.

Or, you could also say that it is about a rich crybaby who needs to grow up.

Four Lions

British based movie about 4 young Pakistani budding jihadists that are too stupid to live apparently. According to reviews it starts out a stupid comedy but ends up some sort of indictment of all extremism or extremist religion. I didn't get that and was more in line with the few splat write ups at RT.
Don't get me wrong, there were funny moments and actually, some of it, stupid as it is, is plausible considering some people just go off and do what comes to mind. Just didn't impress me.
I would love to be able to say "oh yea Rubber Dingy Rapids man!"
to someone who understood the reference

As far as new movies go, Hop. We took my nephews last week. Actually the past several new movies I've seen are only kids ones. Grown-up wise, it was Mall Cop. LOL

Any movies - The Crow. I was watching it this morning.
