Split (2017). It started off excellent, then the final act sold out everything the rest of the movie established. Entertaining but disappointing.
Spoiler
I admit that the set up at the end is pretty exciting, but it came at the expense of the movie's interesting premise

Hey, that's Hiroshi Abe - Still Walking. And the mother from Still Walking is in it too!
This is probably my favorite of his since Nobody Knows, although there isn't one I haven't liked.

The Beach (2000) The desire to find something real -- to connect with something or someone -- is what drives Richard (Leonardo DiCaprio), a young American backpacker who arrives in Thailand with adventure on his mind. Etienne (Guillaume Canet) and Francoise (Virginie Ledoyen) join him on an adventure to "The Beach," a mystical paradise. However, this paradise is less than perfect.

While I enjoyed this movie...Leo DiCaprio is just not a good actor.

Flyboys (2006)

It's a fictionalized account of the Lafayette Escadrille, a squadron of the French Air Service during WW1 made up primarily of Americans who volunteered as fighter pilots. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. My only criticism is that the characters in the movie are representative of the real people, but at the end of the movie, the film gave them the "Where are they now?" treatment that suggested they are real. Nevertheless, good movie -- and a free rental through Amazon Prime.

"The Desert Fox; The Story of Rommel" 1951

Very respectable General. One of his best quotes:

Don't fight a battle if you don't gain anything by winning.
