GET OUT (2017)

I liked it more than I thought I would. That Jordan Peele, he's a pretty danged talented person.

After the Academy Award nominations are released, I make an attempt to see all of the movies represented in the 8 major (to me) categories....Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Adapted Screenplay. This year, 17 movies comprised that list. I was able to see 13 of them before the awards ceremony. Since then, I've found two of them at different Redbox locations.......Nocturnal Animals, and then Loving.

Nocturnal Animals was readily available, but Loving appeared as out of stock for quite awhile until I finally snagged it at a kiosk I'm not usually near. Those are the last two movies I've seen. From the aforementioned list, I still need to see 20th Century Women, and Elle.

I can't believe that I'm just now getting around to seeing The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) - IMDb. But what prompted me to see it was that I recently found out that Taraji P. Henson and Mahershala Ali from Hidden Figures (2016) - IMDb are in it.

Also, this movie is a classic in the truest sense of the word and I absolutely loved it.

Vice 2015

Bruce Willis stars.

Pretty terrible movie overall.
The "idea" was kind of good i guess, but the finished product, and most of the acting, was poor at best.

Get Out, which was a lot smarter and funnier than I was expecting a horror movie to be.
