Forgot to mention "Dogma", Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. . . funny throughout (and I generally hate movies that have that much actual violence) but supremely, divinely funny, at the end, when "God" finally appears!

In no particular order, my faves:

Shakespeare in Love

Bringing Up Baby

Caddyshack

Some Like It Hot

O Brother Where Art Thou

Honorable mention:
Ferris Bueller
Animal House
Woody Allen's Sleepers
Monty Python's Life of Brian
Anything by the 3 Stooges

edited to add:
Nice to see the love for Local Hero. IMHO this film is almost beyond categorization, but it certainly has its own brand of humor.

A couple of "oldies but goodies"

A Thousand Clowns - Jason Robards, equally funny and sad
Harold and Maude - funny and sweet

How could I forget "Harold and Maude" One of my favourites. I was just re-reading the book a few weeks back.

I don't know about "Top" as I don't watch many comedy movies but for their time, I'd have to pick these favorites:

1. Mars Attacks! (funniest movie I ever saw)
2. Abbott and Costello In The Navy
3. Easy Money (Rodney Dangerfield)
4. Revenge of the Nerds
5. Fast Times At Ridgemont High

I almost put this one on my list.
The sequels were not that good, but it's a great movie.

Another fave: Rushmore
