Even though TMTR wasn't one, I love those sweet old Ealing comedies. And anything with Joan Greenwood...especially The Importance of Being Earnest with E. Evans as Lady Brrrrrack-nell.
White Chicks
40 Year Old Virgin
So I Married An Axe Murderer
Wedding Crashers
Knocked Up
SuperBad
Anchorman
Party Girl
Best In Show
Four Weddings and a Funeral
I like my comedy more intellectual and less physical. . . top picks:
Six Rooms, River View -- not a movie, a play, staring Carol Burnett and Alan Alda
The Four Seasons -- movie, also Burnett and Alda
Wonder Boys -- Michael Douglas
I love Wonder Boys. But I don't know that I'd call it a "comedy" per se. Definitely some hilarious moments, but also some very dramatic and sad moments too. Dramedy, maybe?
