i find myself enjoying them more than the other crap they make these days.
last good one i saw is 500 days of summer but i also liked life as we know it (ill watch anything with zooey and katherine in it), something borrowed, going the distance
I really liked the movie "Fever Pitch" (2005), starring Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore. They had great chemistry together, and were very believable as a couple. Roger Ebert's review is below:
If you don't mind really old...
Romancing the Stone, Continental Divide, Murphy's Romance
Going back even further, I like the old Doris Day, James Garner, Tony Randall, Rock Hudson movies from the 60's.
Bridget Jones Diary is a real favorite of mine. The second one is not quite as good, only ok
27 Dresses - perhaps nothing special but I find it watchable and enjoyable
I Love You Man - a funny male friend bromance movie that I really like a lot
Others would include
40 year old Virgin which is sort of sweet really
Knocked UP
Four Christmases
I didn't like Something Borrowed so much but I did like the other one with the same female lead
He's Just Not That Into You
Then there are all the ones with Meg Ryan - Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, French Kiss (I liked this one as I like Kevin Kline), When Harry Met Sally
Just Like Heaven - don't hear about it much, with Mark Ruffalo and Reese Witherspoon, I liked it, its not a comedy
Its Complicated - fairly recent with Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin. I really liked it but it fits my age group too.
