I think when I got up this morning there was a total of 6 reports. Of course, if you added them up, it was black ice for about 60 miles.
Oh no! Black ice! I was hopin' I left that when we moved down from Alaska. No such luck.

Hey, Anybody know this new person???

Oh wait, I remember. haha We thought you got snowed in and we'd never hear from you until spring. How are the temps running up there?

I plowed today and the snow was melting. About 3 I took a nap and at 4:30 when I woke up, it was 14 degrees. WTH? Temp isn't supposed to drop that quick. I like cold, but it's like a hot bathtub, you kind of want to just ease into it.

First snow here today... rained first, so it's over a sheet of glass, where it's not mud. Ugh!

Smile We got a little bit more ~♥~ with more to come ?

Here are a couple of photos I took this morning after our our "Big Storm" !

Our valley view from our front porch with the Salish Mountains in the background.

A zoom view of a portion of the ancient Salish Mountains across the valley.
They are quite weathered down exposing many igneous "intrusions" unlike the still
growing (by tectonic up-thrusting) Mission and Cabinet Ranges.

I tried to rep you DLP. Wow. Not only do you live in an absolutely gorgious area, you can bring it out in your wonderful photo's, as usual. Outstanding.

Why thank you very much EH. We like this part of Montana very much but we may be moving to another town (on the outskirts of course) that is right on one of our large rivers or a large lake. We will stay in Northwest Montana and I need to be able to fish without having to drive 50 or so miles.
Here is a pic of a fish N chips supper we just had the other day.
The trout came out of Kilbrennan lake and we just got some more that we'll eat today.

Mmm... which reminds me, I had this weird dream the other night and y'all was in it!

I'd gone to Conrad to see a place I used to live (which is weird cuz I've never lived there) and anyway it was a car repair type garage that had evidently started life as an old-West saloon, but was now a house. Big open area where the bar/garage once was (now the living area), and still had the mirrored bar (now the kitchen) and promenade (now the bedroom loft). And when I came in, lo and behold here were DontLook and his Dear Wife. And we were just about to have a lovely steak dinner, when...

Argh! No! I don't want to wake up, that steak looked too good to leave on the plate!!
