Yes it is. I have been all over the Country and always end up back in Michigan. There is so much it has to offer, and if somebody can hang on during the rough periods the state always goes through, there is such a reward here. People in other areas of the Country that have never been here find it hard to believe the state has such a diverse landscape. Say "Michigan" to 90% of the Country and they think "industrialized wasteland" or "flat and boring". Yes we do have both of those, but we also have soooo much more.

They (and I think we ourselves do at times also) forget we have:

Beautiful, world class trout rivers,

Tranquil Lakes,

Agriculture second in variety only to California, as well as beautiful Fall color,

Beautiful sunsets, as well as sunrises over inland seas of fresh water,

Beaches with sand so fine, that the grains still look tiny when compared to something as small as a ladybug, and so clean the sand "sings" when we walk on our beaches.

We have beautiful old buildings, in small towns,

We have our quiet spots for remembering,

As well as a little history.

Plus we still have kids that love the outdoors, and play there whenever they can, regardless of the weather. They are the next generation of Michiganders and why the rest of us stay through thick and thin if we can. I can think of no better place in the Country to raise children.

All photos taken by myself over the last 4 or 5 months.

WOW! Now THAT'S our Michigan beauty...Thanks for those outstanding photographs Bydand. I especially like the vivid color tree stand behind the corn stalks in the field. To me, that is my Michigan.

Thank you so much.
