I can't believe you got one to stay in your hand enough to get a shot. Very nice. Birds are a first rate PITA to get good photos of, very nicely done.

What camera are you going to get?

I was able to get off 3 shots of him/her. This one just happened to be my favorite. I ordered an Olympus E-30. It should be here on Thursday. The woodpecker shot was at 600mm hand held and it shows. I also had to bump the ISO higher than I wanted but the E-30 will solve both problems.

The E-30 should do right by you. Very nice camera body.

Snow fell Tuesday, and during it the sun tried to make an appearance. Got these shots at Elizabeth park in Trenton.

And no place seems to get that sparkle in the snow like MI!

Very nice photos. You did a great job capturing that sparkle in the snow. That isn't very easy.

Default The naysayers must be blind

I wouldn't waste a minute listening to the naysayers if I had places around me as beautiful as the places in your pictures. Wow. Michigan Rocks!

I dont care what the naysayers think. I LOVE where I live, I think its one of the most beautiful places on earth and I feel most fortunate to live here

Thanks for the comments guys. Had to post a pic I took today too. Was driving home from work, had to stop and snap this pic with my phone. The Detroit River was open from ice flows at the time (never freezes solid due to the current and the ice cutters, but rarely is open).....and it was BLUE. Sun is rare in winter here, but when we get it, MAN is it bright!|
