I thought NJ has a left lane for passing only law that they actually enforce unlike Massachusetts which only enforces it for heavy trucks.

No excuse for a hit and run, but that's a really risky place to cross the street. I hope the victim recovers.

Last week on Route 9 there was a 20 something year old woman behind me in a Rogue. She was tailgating so I did tappity tap the brakes. She looked stunned and you could see she then slammed the brakes and it was, like yeah maybe I should back off a bit. However, nope she then just kept tailgating. So, I pressed the button for my surround view cameras to record and captured her plate number then tappity tap on my gas and it was c-ya later. Got home, looked it up on the RMV site and yep, expired reg. PS- yes, if you have a plate number you are able to look it up on RMV site. It will not tell you the name of person but it does tell you the name of their insurance company and when their reg expires, as well as when their last vehicle inspection was and if it passed! Good to know in case one of these loons hits you, you can verify if the insurance and info they give you matches what the RMV has.

This is another tough intersection for pedestrians. There's no marked crossing of Congress St. at Congress/Sleeper (though there is one with a signal about a block away) but people regularly run across anyway (the surface lot across the st. is popular for the Children's Museum and Seaport). And while there is a crosswalk to get across Sleeper, it's a fairly blind intersection for cars turning from Sleeper onto Congress (or turning right from Congress onto Sleeper). They regularly blow though it. It's bad enough that it had already been targeted for a safety upgrade.
