People huffing and puffing, lowering their masks to catch their breath, sweat flying everywhere, contaminated surfaces...gee, what could go wrong?

Let me give you an idea of what scientific evidence consists of and how it can help prevent fear mongering and disinformation.

Don't patronize me. I'm talking about indoor venues, where people are unmasked, being a proven source of coronavirus transmission. I never implied sweat is a primary or secondary mode...only that gyms are not hygienic environments even under normal circumstances. I used to go to my gym daily till March 14, and routinely saw witnessed people walking away after their workout without wiping down equipment.

You certainly did imply it. And what you saw people routinely doing prior to COVID is not what people do now. So this second implication really has no relevance.

It's kind of why Baker also required universal masking...indoors and outdoors...it's all about getting people into a habit.

In this post you are arrogantly implying the author is "missing the point" as you try to pass off this complete GUESS on your part as fact. Do you have any empirical evidence of this claim, or is this more factually unsupported disinformation?

Attitudes such as this are why we are where we are as a nation...still facing tragic days 9 months into this pandemic.

The person might not be able to set up a home gym, or use equipment where they live. Could be a college dorm, a studio apartment, or a place where running 2 mins on a treadmill will get your downstairs neighbor banging on the ceiling. My old condo (which had a community gym) did not allow the use of equipment in your unit.

Curious as to why kids under 2 don’t have to wear them. Wasn’t it under 4 at one point ? I get it’s a pain having them keep them on but a 1 year old is certainly capable of spreading germs.
It was 5 at one point. They dropped it to 2.

My mind might be fuzzy because we are past that age, but i can recall a number of dos and donts with regards to young babies and putting blankets or other items in their crib that might block their airways at an age where they can’t move the object themselves. Putting a mask on a 1 year old might be a serious risk of smothering if they fall asleep in a carriage with one on while parent is shopping, especially if the mask is a heavy enough piece of cloth.

Or not? Like I said, it’s been some time since I’ve had to deal with that age. My 3-year old however is very good when it comes to mask wearing.

Yes, those who actually look to evidence, data, and logic, rather than just use those words as a punchline, are the problem. Fear mongering based on "feelings" is the solution. I get it now.

I can understand why you wouldn’t put a mask on a kid under 1. I’m just saying, if a kid under 2 has corona they can certainly spread it. I guess we’re just winging it there. Hopefully kids under 2 aren’t hanging out at restaurants but they have no control over indoor family gatherings
