Baker says its 1 minute to gte through unemployment.... I disagree. Everyone listening to that also disagrees.

I dont want to say he is lying. But theres no way to get through in 1 minute... ever.

25% is still rough since it means that you will be more likely to have to wait to get into a store, even grocery.

Market Basket hasnt had lines in a long time - but I bet they do now.

The other groceries near me, barely have customers, Ive never had to wait.

I saw lines for TJ Maxx though. (and Homegoods)

Widespread lines will likely come back for at least 2 weeks.

I’m curious to see how 25% office capacity affects us. One of the weeks is the holiday week, but I wonder if we will be told to restrict access the following week

Starting Saturday coming up, so next week (which is a short week for most, and a lot of people were not going to be around anyways)

But the week after is a regular week (month end for businesses, etc...) and could be busy in the office.

As I look around, I dont see many people near me to begin with, but I wouldnt mind working from home (except all my girls and wife would be home....)

I'm probably being cynical, but I'm wondering if these capacities will be enforced by retailers to the same extent they were in the spring. It's not easy to enforce, and I imagine retail management is as fatigued as anyone else.

What I saw - at Market Basket (and TJ Maxx) when one person left, one went in, and there was someone at the exit door (and entrance) talking between them.

Probably. My daughter works at a mall store that announced 2 weeks ago they were closing. They've been enforcing the capacity limit they were given all in that time. My local Kohl's has had a counter since they reopened.

The only stores I went into back in the spring was HD/Lowe’s and they were pretty good about counting.

I’m sure small shops off the beaten path will prob ignore it.

Any business no matter the size should not adhere to this. What will Baker do, fine everyone. And it’s almost laughable that the Government thinks they have any say in the amount of people a homeowner chooses to have in their home. And even more laughable thinking they can limit the amount of people in an outdoor space.

Anyway it’s all for optics. If they cared about anything they wouldn’t wait for Holidays or certain times. If it was that essential to do this it would be immediate. This is all just a big show, and with any government action we are the ones paying for it.
