People just don't know what is good for them.
The other day I saw a blind man with a fiberglass cane! Does he not know that carbon fiber is far superior?

It doesn't bug me if people wear masks, what bugs me is when they are wearing masks that don't even offer protection. Fabric masks made with Joann Fabrics kitty cat prints aren't doing anything for these folks and that is what makes them look silly. If they had N95 on I wouldn't even chuckle. Kitty cat print fabric masks...you get a big chuckle !

I do not see people wearing masks much anymore, but most of people who do wear not designer masks, but either proper ones or close to them. I think it offers some protection, but less of course. Personal choice IMHO. Does not bug me one bit.

Spoiler
After everything that goes on in this world I do not have capacity to be bothered by something this small.

I travel by air just about every week (including last week during the packed T'giving season). I've been donning my KN95 religiously once I get on board. Always hear someone hacking away not far from me.

Knock on wood (twice) but have yet to contract Covid, and I'm sure that's not a coincidence.

I just returned from the cruise with a cold (not sure if it is cold or flu) . I am negative for Covid. Took 3 tests as symptoms were very similar to my second COVID in September 2022, but it is not.

That's why I'm not a fan of cruises. Covid or not, they're like giant petri dishes floating on the sea. Germy surfaces everywhere.

We cruise 5 times a year since 2016 (2 per year since 2003) and get sick once in a couple of years. It is not usually a problem. If you think about it ... everything is a petri dish... Stores, movie theaters, restaurants, planes, casinos, hotels, offices, schools, childcare ... anywhere there are people. Cruises are no different really.

I'd say they are relatively more safe as stress on washing hands is way more than on land. People have so many misconceptions about cruises... they tend to make cruises seem scary. They are not. In fact CDC checks cruise lines constantly even more than US based businesses as they are foreign entities.

I hadn't looked at the stats so far this fall, but I just visited the CDC site, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that so far at least, we haven't had the huge fall surge that we had in the previous three years. There's been a rise since this past summer alright, but nowhere near as big as in prior pandemic years.

Suggesting therapy for an issue that's clearly a burden on somebody, does not equate to calling somebody crazy. Are you saying that only crazy people need to "talk" to somebody once in a while, and that everybody who does is "crazy"??? That stigma is a big reason why so many people fail to address issues before they grow into a bigger problem. It's a shame there are still people thinking this way.
