Good link to save. It's sorted by Low of the day but you can change that by clicking the header.

IEM :: ME_ASOS Current Conditions
I have two different calibrated mercury thermometers. Both said 16F. I had to get a new one for up here since my old one only goes down to zero, and last winter we got as low as -18F. My newer one goes to -30F.

Living on the coast, its unlikely we'll get below -20 until the next ice age comes, starting in about 2030.

Cool. Oh, my post wasn't implying anything other than to provide data. Trust me, I know about microclimates even in our small state here. Funny you had to get a new one for that reason, I assumed that was a given there every year. Maybe not. Is the 16° your low for the season?

So far my minimum is 25.8° which happened back in Mid October.

And I agree about 2030. LOL. On that note.. Winters have been getting colder here recently ... and snowier.

I like snow, with three caveats:

1. My snowblower continues to work, its new this year.

2. I get my snow tires on in time(they aren't on now, though both vehicles have AWD).

3. It does not rain or produce heavy wet snow after I already have 18 inches of snow on my roof, because then I have to go outside and rake the roof. Which at age 66, is exhausting and is not a lot of fun.

Havent checked the models this morning but if theres a noteworthy event I'll be sure to post here.. Been focused on the crazy snowstorm in MidWest. So many are buried under 8-18" this morning with temps in the teens

Pretty boring pattern for us. No snow in sight other than flurries and snow showers. Actually some snow tonight for Southern Maine. 1-2"

Pretty interesting Bangor had a total of 14.7" of snow last year which was 2nd snowiest to date (July1-Nov21), this year Chicago has 2nd snowiest for same period. 2013 it was Rapid city which had 2nd snowiest. Big early season snows in the U.S.
.
Did you see the list of snowfall reports from the snowstorm?

Check out what Iowa looked like today while some plows were cleaning & salting the roads still

And did you see the records and stats for Chicago? It never snowed this much this early in Chicago. 2nd biggest November snowstorm.

Felt like single digits over the areas with a snowpack. 2pm temps today.
