I just love those guys at the Caribou office. They post some awesome stuff.

While we have a warm week this week... enjoy it.. here's a look back at the snow totals from last year.

The way you phrased that was somewhat misleading. The picture shows last year from today to APRIL 23 THIS year.

On the flip side, according to Kidd and Sabrina today is the anniversary of a blizzard that happened last year.

Snow season is July 1 to June 30. The map shows the snow total July 1, 2014 to April 23, 2015 which is considered last winter. Any snow that fell after April 23 wouldn't be on that map but I assume none did which is why they reposted that.

As far as their "historical" comment, I was wondering about that. Wasn't the snowiest year for any of the sites BUT I think the snow depth or length of days was for few spots. I remember Bangor having 4 feet of snow at one point which was extreme. They could of been more specific about what was historical I guess.

February temps were historical for all of Northeast U.S but obviously the map is about snow, not temps..

I remember it for having a Top 10 warmest Decembers. I was waiving the white flag giving up on winter. Then BANG! Bottom drops. lol Memorable for everyone north of Philly.

BTW .. I LOVE looking back... This is why it's so key to post current weather and stories.. I love looking back and capturing the moment.

Here's from Nov 7th last year..

Didn't it just turn November??? They have 15.4". Normal to date is 3".

Last time they got 16" or more in November was 2007-08 when they ended up with 196 inches for the season.

Yup. And it's going to stay warm all week. This weekend we'll feel chilly but no snowstorms and no sustained cold. Will warm up again after this weekend.

NWS Gray Maine shows their office 1 yr ago today while some spots had a foot of snow.

"Our office on November 2nd, 2014. Some in Waldo and Knox counties had a foot of snow."
