Currently here in Downeast, Maine, 40F Degrees, Dew Point 26F Degrees, Winds NE 5mph, Gusts 8mph, Cloudy...

Sat out on the front porch today!
Absorbing the sunshine and the sweet fragrance of Spring...
Charlie, the Chipmonk, returned for a fourth year!
to beg for seed...
I greeted him with my usual call!
He ate sunflower seeds at my feet...
A Song Sparrow has arrived!
It feeds at dawn and until dusk...
(Before and after the the migrating Grackles and Red-winged
Blackbirds)....
under the birdfeeder!
Yearly it has brought me such joy...
and it's song echoes across the Birch Meadows!
Returning to my WWII Veteran tomorrow!
It's the beginning of a 48hr shift with him...
taking bird seed with me!
He has a birdfeeder that's been empty...
Looking forward to sharing this joy with him!
His memories have grown dim...
but members of his family still stop by!
and encourage him...
I'm just a witness of this life!
and honored am I...
to be such a small part!

Currently here in Downeast, Maine..43F Degrees, Dew Point 39F Degrees, Winds East 6mph, Gusts 8mph..Cloudy!
Been discussing with former classmates their experience in school...
from grade school to high school!
and this is my conclusion:
Childhood, school, being bullied or being a bully...
The entire dynamics of what happens in our family
and spills out into our community!
Folks, I've had stuff happen to me in my childhood and beyond, that there is either a blank where it happened, or I've had to face the memory (and the horrible tormenting emotions that are attached to it)!
I'm NOT an expert and just when I believe I've been healed in one area, something pops-up...
But I do know Jesus is all about healing us,
so we can move on!
Forgive, forget and help others who have suffered!
I highly recommend, "Emotional Healing Made Simple," by Praying Medic/aka Dave Hayes!
You can find it on Amazon or Barnes & Noble...
Don't be tormented and allow unforgiveness and bitterness prevent you from becoming who you are meant to be!
Free and loved...

Currently, here, in Downeast Maine...45F Degrees, Dew Point 28F Degrees, Winds WNW 9mph, Gusts 15mph...Sunny with clouds...

Just finished at 42hr hospice shift with my WWII Client!
who's still transitioning this Easter...
The ebb and flow of our life and how it effects others is profound!
Seeing a life given to service (not only to one's country), but to their community...
is life-changing!
The hush as one senses the presence of angels...
in anticipation!
for those who believe...
I've had the honor of being present when many transitioned..
from this world (through the veil), into the next!
First, it was my first husband...
Then, my parents!
and finally, those for whom I've taken care...
Cherish those whom you love!
Life, is as a flame....
and only their light may we embrace!
when the flame flickers...
and is gone!
we remember...

Our WWII Veteran passed this morning...
just found out!
There is a piece of what was decent and excellent..
about that time and generation,
that is no more!
Except for what we carry in our hearts...
and still, many of us know that our history was not told,
as it should have been!
I won't say that here...
as I want to honor the being,
who honored us with his service and love!
may he go into the arms of his Lord and Savior
and into the presence of his Sweetheart...
who served also, as a Nurse during WWII,
who went before him!
awaiting for that reunion...

Mostly clear...
Returned home from clients on Route 179 (through Fletcher's Landing)!
Beautiful, but Wind-stirred..
.
I hate to say it...
but sooner or later I will trigger you!
I realized this when I took in troubled youth (boys), for five years into my home...
I took in one girl (for 24-7 and that was it)!
Then, I was Certified to take in Developmentally Disabled boys, for three years...
I can't remember how often I triggered my boys!
Yep....
Especially if they had a, "Mother Issues!"
and many had every right to have, "that issue!"
Still, we went from there!
Beginning with, "I'm NOT your mother, (nor did I do those things to you)!"
to:
I'm your parent...
and where we go from here is your choice!
We have a choice...
to live in victory!
or to let our circumstances overcome us..
In the end!
Did that choice make us Overcomers...
or victims!
We have a choice...

The second day of blue skies! Though we braced ourselves for the cold, it was still beautiful!
Sat outside on the front porch (still bundled)...
dreaming of our future!
That's what this place is meant for...
To dream and hope!
What we would do if....
Good, "What ifs!"
Instead of those horrible, "What If's!"
Hang on to your dreams...
and those hopes!
They are what keeps us going...
through these dire times!
Remembering our heritage...
Our grandparents who went before us!
and their stories we keep close to our hearts...
of victory during their hardships!
Knowing the importance of standing...
and the prayers that went before them
which have become ours!

Default Your kindness

Thank you!
May we carry those who made such an impact in this world closely in our hearts...
For our history will be written!
and they will be included...

Clear and all the lovely constellations viewable!
Still, the truth resonates in us all...
and though the time tolls...
we grasp the truth and hold her!
firmly to our breast...
knowing that Wisdom will not relent!
and the muttering of this age...
Will pass!
and His Wisdom will settle all!
and Clarity will reign...

Was in Washington County (Milbridge) for 10 days that went too fast. The most spectacular weather God could have ordered up. Bright sunny days reaching 60 degrees. Chilly, starry nights that calmed my soul. The quiet was priceless. When you can hear your footsteps walking on a gravel/dirt road, every breath you take, every move you make, etc., you know you're in a good healthy place.
