I'll state this clearly!
animals can't resist me...
It's 38° and light rain in my space in northern WaCo. Weather Bug says heavy rain is coming soon. The weather has been hard on my old girl, a 13 year old English shepherd. We went to see the vet yesterday, and he said he's seeing more lame dogs now than usual, probably because of weather. I'm sorry about the loss of your friend.

Curently here in, Downeast, Maine, 28F Degrees, Dew Point 16F Degrees, Winds W 7mph, Gusts 14mph, Sunny with scattered clouds...Cold

Survived Friday through yesterday's power outage!
Had a Christmas Eve into Christmas Day Caregiving shift...
only to return to a house (where it was warm in the kitchen 2 Mr Buddy's Propane heaters), other rooms that were closed-off were 38.5 Degrees (including our bedroom) and had to use our bottled water to wash dishes and clean-up!
Took our chargers for our phones over to a friend's house, to charge before we went out for Christmas Supper...
Feeling sated after Supper, I prayed that our power would be back on at our house before we returned home...
That was my only request for a gift for Christmas!
As we drove into our driveway, our porch lights shone brightly!
Best Christmas Gift I can remember...

Currently here, in Downeast, Maine 34F Degrees, Dew Point 28F Degrees, Winds N 2mph, Gusts 5mph...
Clear and lovely and the constillations bright and glimmering!
Spent most of the day enjoying the sunny and blue skies (indoors), until late afternoon brought in the clouds and darkness approached..
Spilling it's inky shadows across the Birch Meadows!
Another relatively warm day...
Watching the Chick-a-Dees and Nuthatches taking their turns
at chosing their one priceless sunflower seed!
I am grateful for this mild beginning of Winter...
as most who hear their furnace roar!
New Years Eve approached with a power outage...
as if to discourage us from celebrating!
It has become common for power outages to occur...
on Saturdays (here in Downeast, Maine)!
I refuse to take it personally...
will just prepare as part of our living!
and we'll find games and activities to enjoy...
when the power is out!
I work hard...
and will enjoy the fruits of my labor!
as I encourage others to do so...

21 below in the West Lee frost pocket. Wind chill is 41 below. I checked the driver's door on the Subaru. Color is black and the door is 28 below. I checked the conditions on Mt Washington in NH. They had a 145 MPH gust!

This little infrared Digital thermometer was about $25 at Harbor Freight. It's interesting. I'm on. the road a lot and can measure the road surface temperature. If the road temp id 25 for example, and the weather forecast is light rain, slow down when it begins to rain. Black ice is no fun at all, even with a Subaru.

Our coldest temperature with the wind chill was - 55. It is 0 now with an expected high of 25 today. I am calling bull on this weather.

I made the best of the horrible cold. I went to California, spent a week on the beach, came back with tan lines, and am questioning my current address.
