I saw my first trout lily yesterday while we were at camp putting the dock in. I saw trillium leaves which means the trillium will be out in a few days.

Currently here in Aurora, ME, 58F Degrees, Dew Point 36F Degrees, Winds NE, 6mph, Cloudy...
Awoke to the sound of a Robin's song echoing through the old Rock Maples outside our window...The mornings' glory blazed through the cracks in the drapes and invited us to part them..The deep, dark brew beckoned from my steaming cup placed before me....So, a wonderous Sunday morning began...
Onions simmering in butter, wafted throughout the kitchen, potatoes and kilbaska joined until the meal was consumed with delight and pleasure...
Time to transplant theTomatoes and Burpless Cucumbers... Time to divide the Peonies to a better place...Time to continue carving-out the flower bed (where the boxwoods divide the driveway (in our dooryard), from the house...
Wild, Wood Violets (gathered from the Birch Meadows and transplanted in the flowerbed along the house), are flourshing as are the Wild Roses...
Saw a Blue Bunting (Looks like a Cobalt-Blue Canary), nibbling at our bird feeder this morning..and rejoiced to see the Hummingbirds looking for nectar..
It was with reluctance, I withdrew from the outdoors...(though the black-flies had chomped on my right ear so much, it was bleeding)...Still, only the fragance of the freshly washed and line-dried bedding, removed before the dew set, led me indoors...
So, is the life at Birch Meadows...
Thank you for joining me!

So I'm heading to Bar Harbor this Sunday and I been glued to the models since 2 weeks ago to see what kind of weather and pattern is coming... I couldn't ask for a more perfect scenario..

Here's a look at the cloud forecast from Friday to Wednesday. Date is up top.

Basically a front comes through on Saturday with rain but then it clears out and the front and systems stays south of the area. Only problem is.. Monday morning in the 30s/40s?!! Maybe I should head south instead. lol.

Guess where I am right now. Beautiful day today! Clear skies with Cirrus clouds earlier. Breeze and temps in 50s mostly.

I didnt realize Bar Harbor actually had an official NWS station. (BHB) Cool!

One of the coldest spots in Maine at the moment.

"Air" = current temp. Looks like the max was 61 today.

We had a light frost yesterday. Two swipes of the wipers took it off. By 2 PM it was 56 at camp and 52 inside camp. Itwas just there for a minute. Stiff breeze from the northeast.
