It isn't that bad, though So FL is the worst. No dry skin, chapped lips, sore throat, etc with humidity and in most cases better for the lungs than low humidity. Admittedly I would not live in Miami, but Miami is just one part of FL.

Development costs - regulations and the California Coastal Commission, won't let it happen.

The title of this thread is completely backwards though. Infrastructure does not equal high rise condos.

Miami should worry about the water beneath their city and around them. Miami is practically a floating piece of land. they need to pump a lot of water to make it dry a la netherlands

L.A. had its own Summer/Fall days this year of 100+, and humidity!

the politicians are idiots. There is this culture in L.A. where it's "cool to turn a blind eye" to problems. It's all about ignoring issues just to not hurt people's feelings.

It's okay, I only visit my sibling in L.A. on certain occasions. Otherwise, I would never go back to live in L.A. It's a mess.
LA is notoriously expensive and racist....but Florida is hardly any better. It is run by Republicans who favor cutting money on helping the unemployed and poor. Religious hypocrisy (using religion as reasoning why gays and universal healthcare is wrong while turning a blind eye to males who harassed women and benefiting on their health insurance paid by our tax dollars). And minimum wage is not very good over there. And poverty exists there at about the same as Los Angeles.

The Coastal Commission is one of the best things about the State. FL should follow their example.

And this is why Florida > CA when it comes to running the city.

If FL had CA's weather I'd be there in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I'd rather not get eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Also, thanks for letting the whole world know you favor slavery (aka universal healthcare).

Are you seriously arguing that Los Angeles has more humidity than Miami?
