Evacuations do not cause road damage. Earthquakes do for sure. Then there are mudslides.

Pitching in. Moving to Miami in 9 months, but LA is plan B. Would you say that an average income in LA (I read 60k) evens out to the same standard of living 40k (average income) does in Miami? Is there a middle class in LA? I guess what I'm trying to say is, even though you're paid more in LA, do you get more?

dont move to LA unless you make over 100k/yr.

I would say that $120K is more comfortable. $100K would work if you strictly budget. The extra $20K would make it more enjoyable.

Agreed. 120k is a solid number for a single person.
