not at all. As noted above, not extravagant or conservative.

I do use all LED or CFL lighbulbs. I have only one 50inch TV in the house. Use the central A/C very conservatively. Electric stove, dryer, etc etc.

My electric was far cheaper when I was single living in an apartment in Manhattan.

Between $80 and $140/month. It usually comes out to around $1200/year so you can pretty much say $100/month.

Oil heat, all electric appliances, one 50" plasma tv, LED bulbs. No mobile devices except for two flip phones. Heating thermostat set at 69F all winter. Central air thermostat is set at 72 when it runs; we don't even turn it on unless the in-house temp goes above 78F, which means the outside temp is in the 80s or higher. No swimming pool or hot tub. Two people in house.

Here's my latest which includes some central air in the summer. Still low. 2700sf but again, we don't use the entire house at once. Only 1 tv is on at a time usually and lights are off if rooms isn't in use. Outdoor uses 13w CFL overnight. Entertainment is mostly PC and tablets.

We also bought and started using a new dryer (gas) because we're attempting to get rid of home allergens. It still uses electric for the motor and has had little effect on cost (even gas) so far.

Are you on balanced billing? What does yours look like and what's your living style?

Mine's about the same. sometimes it's as low as $70 a month (non-A/C months). Sometimes it's as high as $120 something (peak summer) Usually under $100.

1700 sq ft, 2 person household, we both work and don't spend too much time at home on the weekend. Mostly LED bulbs, gas appliances, window A/Cs that we use liberally.

I don't even know what I pay anymore.
I don't even bother to open up the bills.
Every so often I come home and the power is off.
I pay whatever the minimum past due balance is to get the power restored and that's that.
I just can't keep up anymore.
