Yep. South Shore. And I know, everyone says that. One friend even said am I living in a cave. LOL. Just me and some pets. Not home during the day and when I am home, the only light that is on is in the room that I am in. Not much of a tv watcher and other than my AC in the summer, I really don't use a whole lot of electricity...no reason to. Other than that, I don't think I do anything unusual but that has been my bill for the past 12 years or so. It is, in fact, my cheapest household bill. They never even offer me balanced billing because my bill is so low LOL

When I hear about the huge bills, I don't get that either. In fact, the friend that said that to me about the cave, same situation as me and bill is more than twice mine.

That makes sense then. We have a ton of electronic devices, wife home with the kids 3 days a week. Central AC on all summer and an outdoor hot tub on 24/7. I'm actually thrilled with paying 'only' 205 a month right now! Lol

Oh Wait. I lied. My cheapest household bill is water. PSE&G comes in second.

Non Summer months $25 per month. Used to be less but a few months ago, they tacked on some bogus surcharge fee of $5.00. Summer months because of sprinkler system, averages about $150 or more depending on how dry it might be.

2 bedroom home at under 800 sq feet in south shore Nassau and our last heating bill (gas heat) was around $180. I work from home sometimes, plus we keep our thermostat closer to 70 degrees (i cant deal w 3 am temperature drops in the bedroom), and tend to have a lot of electronic devices running so we consume a ton.

I think you meant $25 every 3 months? Ours is around $35 and in the summer months $75 for 3 months w/ IGS. I've heard of people in my town over $300 - I don't know what their deal is - we all have 100x60 lots.

I don't know how anyone can have $45 electric bill with a 3 bedroom house?? I think the surcharges and fees alone add up to $45 no?

To all those posters with the cheap bills... you guys don't use the dishwasher? Microwave? Don't charge your I-phones? What about your hot water pumps and/or fans? etc. I mean those things alone should be $80 per month.

Im assuming you all have gas for dryer and stove too.

Yeah that's pretty low, but I can see it happening. I have a 4 bedroom house with a gas dryer/stove and my bill averaged over the year is $105. That's with my mediaserver HTPC on quite a bit and an extra freezer in the garage.
