I got a job offer, but my official start date isn't until FEBRUARY 1, 2010. Anyone else get a delayed start date as well?

I was hired for spa receptionist at Vdara. I'm bummed out because knowing how hotel openings are, they will no longer need me by the time February rolls around. I pretty much got my hopes up for nothing.

I am hoping that this brings some positive and good

That is good news. I hope to hear from them soon. I've been out of work for almost 2 years.

I got a offer for bartender. When I filled out the app. For the job I picked the two days off I wanted and when I came in for the offer they gave me those days off I picked but in regards of shift you got whatever one was available. Depends what time your offers were sched for that day. They have a chart of whoever was suppose to come in for the offer that day and shift times. If your appointmant was the 1st on the list of offers for the day in that position than your lucky! You get to be the 1st to pick what shift you wanted from the list. Unfortunitly I was the LAST appointment time on scheduled to come in for my offer that day so I got whatever shift was left. Graveyard. Don't know how the casinos go regarding busyness around that time since I'm from Cali. The city that never sleeps but pepole do! Lol I dnt know if tips will be lousy for that shift or not but I'm just happy that I got a offer!!

Best of luck to those still waiting. Don't give up!!
