Hello everyone,

The wait is getting closer and closer. City Center is still sticking to their job extension timeline offer in September all the way to October. The opening is still set to open on December 16 and Dec 4 for Mandarin Oriental. This is what I have been told 2 days ago by City Center reps. Don't lose hope by all the bitterness some people have put in this forum. There's always a mixture of negative vibes in any other hope of gaining positive outcomes. There's never any guarantee wherever you go. It's just sad how "some" could make such degrading comments about the Las Vegas employment process and the way the companies run it here yet are so eager to join in the chaos. Goodluck to everyone here in the forum. Your pay scale in vegas never depends on how long you've been in the business or how young you are as some people instigate. It all depends on your ability to commit to your job and how great you deliver customer satisfaction. The better the service, the better the tips! You don't have to be Einstein to figure that out. BTW, Rampart may look upscale but it's just another local station casino. It is in no way comparison to the high class casinos on the strip such as Wynn, Venetian, Bellagio, and the upcoming City Center project. Try spending your day monitoring their valet and see if you could keep up

We all just need to stay positive and help each other out

It's tough to when you have people who have nothing better to do then troll boards. Yes everyone is entitled to an opinion but why the hell waste your time on a message board dedicated to something you dislike so strongly. I feel sorry for people who make themselves miserable on purpose in an effort to make other people miserable.

That said, I hope for nothing but the best for people who are here for genuine information and to share experiences. It's always good to get more pieces to the puzzle to help us all figure it out in the end.

I still haven't gotten notice to take my drug test, but my cc account says "open and active". Anyone else in this situation? It doesn't seem like a good sign, but who knows.

Just a reminder to all of you out there: these are not "crappy service jobs". If you are VERY GOOD at what you do and you land a full time, union-pay-rate job on the strip you will work hard and make a lot of money.
