I agree with you on the ethnic and Age requirements for Mandarin or any major casino for that matter. I do believe that one discrimination if you can call it at that is, lack of experience. If you don't have at least 3-5 years experience is the position you are applying for, they won't waste their time. Unless you get a chance for an initial interview and you sweep them away with your customer service skills and personality.

By the way, I'm signing my job offer paperwork tomorrow for Mandarin so I will post what updates I get. Keep following up on your application Let me know if you get that call

I just got my offer earlier today, around 7. Sorry it took so long to post, I was out celebrating! I got hired as a front services bellperson at Aria. I sign my paperwork on the 23rd. Now I'm praying that I get kept on past the probationary period. I went from blank to active last monday. Good luck to everyone, and keep holding onto hope!

I know it's a lot to ask but I just wish they would have like a "hiring day" where all applicants just know instead of applicant a knows this and applicant b knows that and applicant c knows nothing

I agree, I think they should get an automated system and bulk call every one who did AND didn't get the job with some kind of recording. People's livelihoods and all of Vegas and probably Nevada are all hoping and gambling on C.C. to be a big hit!!

I just checked my status and it's been changed from Blank to Active. I haven't gotten any calls or e-mails since my drugs test way back in July. I hope this means something positive.

Hey scorpio78,
I notice you said you applied for 3 positions. I thought you could only apply to 1 position at a time? Is that correct?........

Keep in mind that there are probably 100 people applying for the same positions you did. And a lot of them will have many years of experience and are able to answer the questions correctly. From your blog I see you have a hard time at interviews. A lot of interviewers look for certain personalities and confidence in the field you are applying for. If you are no good at interviews it's going to be very hard for you to find a job in Vegas.
