That’s not true. Typically this is the busiest time of the year for conventions. Even though some conventions have cancelled or attendance is down due to the economy and Obama’s remarks, there is still business from these conventions. They may not gamble or eat in the restaurants much, but they do fill the rooms. This is all possible by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority marketing Las Vegas for what used to be the slowest time of year. You can see the calendar of events on their website. http://www.lvcva.com/meetings/convention-calendar.jsp

The same was said during the hiring of Encore. Then they did a hiring freeze before the place was even open.

But gaming revenues are always down the last quarter. The hotel operates at a loss without them.

Yes that’s right, but Tamiko41 is taking a job in Housekeeping and typically the rooms are being kept at 90% during convention season, so she should not have to worry. It's the F&B lunch time and most all casino operations that are slow. But then again, Obama and his remarks and the economy will being playing their nasy roll again this year. We can only hope for the best.

Tell me about it, I have been off since March. The convention season should keep us going for a bit.

All the revenues are down across the board. Also you dont think that after March and there is smaller demand for rooms that CC wont shut a portion of the tower like every other hotel in town has done.
