Just spoke with CC rep and he told me that the hiring mgr (she) will be making decisions up to the end of the month. I remain open & active for a management position.

My friend that applied for bartender at ARIA called CC today. My friend usually calls every Friday just to check in and has been doing this for the past few weeks. The CC Rep said the same thing as usual; CC is sending out JOs until the end of November. My friend asked if CC has hired all of their bartenders. The CC Rep said that CC has not hired all of their bartenders yet. Also, the CC Rep said the same as usual about not pulling the application because the application will be forwarded to other MGM properties for a similar position if you aren't hired for CC. I know that this same general conversation has been going on with the CC Reps for a while, but I just wanted to share with you as to what my friend was told again today (Friday, Nov. 13) by a CC Rep.

Good luck!

Default ARIA Retail

I'm sure there is going to be some shuffling of staff from other properties which opens up other positions.

I realize the process is truly daunting ... but maybe Friday the 13th may be our lucky day!

Hang in there!
Thanks LVIDD for the information.

I also heard that too that ALL the retail positions of CC are among the last. I also heard that ALL the retail positions of CC have been filled.
Supposely in all this.
So the question remains....which statement is really accurate?!

I called CC reps. this week too. I remain open/blank for me to see but STILL remain open/active in CC system.

No call on the Friday the 13 so maybe our lucky day will be Saturday Nov. 14th or next week.....

Trying to hang in there too.
Wish I can be as strong as you as far as hanging in there.

I applied sales position but that could be for cashier, stock or sales associate.

I'm external too.

I hate to say this but the future of City Center does not look good. All the other properties are giving rooms away, some even on New Year's Eve. I would not put all my eggs in this basket. I don't see how City Center can compete with free rooms.

oh hush would you... name one hotel thats giving rooms out for free (that didn't require gambling or comps) that is located near the strip. do you even know how this works.. lets say CC dies.. do you think the building just sits there vacant? no its bought by somebody else.. nothing stops... StationCasinos is in the middle of bankruptcy and they are still open... So will Hooters be open when they file.. and all the rest... Why are you trying to discourage people that are hoping for jobs, especially when you aren't even in Vegas... Things must be rosy in Texas. Yep Bellagio, Venetian, Planet Hollywood, and even Circus Circus -- free rooms.. yeah right... You should hang out with Armyjimb

yep more free rooms....from the las vegas sun

The Pacquaio-Cotto fight could be the reason for higher-than-normal room rates this weekend. The average daily room rate at Las Vegas’ most popular hotels for tonight is $334, while it’s $320 for Saturday. The resorts include Palms, Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, Venetian, Wynn, Luxor, Hard Rock and MGM Grand. Caesars Palace and Harrah’s, which would normally be included in the above list, are sold out through the weekend. Palms and Luxor are sold out tonight while Mandalay Bay is sold out Saturday night.

Rates at the Strip’s budget hotels are also higher than normal with prices like $184 at the Riviera, $123 at the Tropicana and $145 at the Imperial Palace.

Wow! You are one angry person. When I said free, I should have said comped. Sorry. Hope you have a good day Airics. FWIW, we have New Year's Eve comped as does my brother-in-law.
