My sincere apologies to anyone who thought I was trying to discourage you. It was not my intent. Best wishes to all.

Pommy, you have always been a sweetheart here, and you have done nothing wrong. It has just been a stressful time for a lot of the residents from what I have been reading, and unfortunately some have taken out on you even know you don't deserve it at all. I hope they apologize to you since it was unwarranted.

Let me know when you get yours! I have been waiting by the mailbox. So far nothing new.

**I noticed that things have been slow on this board as well. I hope everyone is doing good and I am still rooting for those waiting!
Did you get your packet yet freckle?

a couple things... one, i am nowhere near an angry person.... what upsets me is that someone who does not live here, a tourist, even sheds some input on something they know absolutely nothing about except for reading in their local paper or in other media..... have you even seen CC? other than pictures, no you have not...

in this thread, people have high hopes of working at CC.. it is one thing to come and post what has happened to the poster personally regarding CC (reject letter... still waiting etc...)... it is another thing for a tourist to come on here and say the CC does not look good, will not last etc.... You in turn are bursting someones bubble and that is a cruel thing to do....

as for the free rooms, now it is revealed that you are getting comped... at least you are being honest there since you have paid for those rooms with your gambling.... so in turn they are not free... The average local or tourist is not going to get free rooms on new years or on a weekend without being comped.

as for vegas hotels hurting, sure they are... but we are at an 83% average occupancy, which by vegas standards is low... but it blows any other city in the usa at this time out of the water. the average occupancy in the usa right now is 52%...

i am really happy in vegas. granted the job situation could be better, but this was planned before we moved here... i have over 2 years living expenses at my disposal.. and if i was frugal, 4yrs at least...

where else can i live to get free shows, free or very close to free food, and weather like this.... so mr. vegas, thank you....

Airics, we go to Las Vegas several times a year and have done so for the last 15 years. We consider it our home away from home. We talk to the people who live and work in Las Vegas. When we return we are pleased to see the same familiar faces. We assume that it is because the casino hotels must treat their employees well. I can assure you that we are not high rollers. We do not play table games. The only reason we get comped is because we continue to come to Vegas on a regular basis. We make it a point to gamble, eat in the restaurants, and patronize the bars of the casino hotels who comp us. It seems only right. I am sorry if I offended you Airics. BTW, I am a woman so that would be Mrs. Vegas.

Sorry for not posting in a while. This site has certainly slowed down but is not forgotten. I took a drive to the employee parking lot and it is very easy to get to if you take the side streets. I went on a Sunday, drove from Jones and Charleston and it took me about 20 minutes to get there. I definitley would stay away from 95 and I-15. With all of the new hires showing up on their report day, you should leave about an hour and a half early. It'll probably be jammed. To all on this site that have not been hired yet, if you don't get hired here, you will certainly get hired somewhere. I know god has a plan and sometimes it's very hard to see what that plan is. God bless and I will say my prayers for you all.

I was watching (local) channel 8 news yesterday and they did a story on c.c. According to them, 95% of the jobs have been accepted and only 5% are still waiting to get filled/accepted.
5% of 10,000 = 500
I hope this is either good news or closure to those who are waiting.
