It's hard to get a full time position in customer service in the gaming industry right now. Harrahs, MGM, Wynn, Venetian, Boyd gaming,Station casino's have very few full time positions available. It may be a long long wait before the gaming industry rebounds.

Absolutely but at least there is a industry to bounce back to!!!! It is not dependent on furniture,automobiles, health...ect...Vegas has an out!!!

Hello everyone. Madarin Oriental is part of City Center but it seems like it is not a part of MGM Mirage........or am I misunderstanding? I was told that there will be no lateral transfers from any MGM properties due to their not being one of MGM's. I filled out an app online Wednesday night (late) and got called the next day Thursday for an interview on Tuesday. I made certain I told the caller that I had intended to go to the jobfair this Saturday 9/19 and thanked him profusely for calling and not having me wait on that LOOOOOOONG line. He laughed at that. I keep hearing on the news and such, that interviews will be conducted at the jobfairs and offers will be made that day so I am a little puzzled. GOOD LUCK to all.

seriously i was thinking how lucky i am to even get a part time position and again bagman is right, when it opens part and full time will be getting a whole lot of overtime, a freind of mine at bellagio told me that 70% of new hires will be part time. i guess what they're are looking to see how we all do before they decide to offer full time because i'm sure after the probationary period is over people will surely get bumped up to full time or even promoted, so my thoughts are, go in, go beyond their expectations and just do the best we can, keep a good attitude throughout and i'm sure all will coime together the way we want. well, good luck to everyone.
