Actually 2 people here have been hired for Front Desk that I know of, myself and Frath. I am part-time so I don't know if that helps you any but that is about all the information I know. I do know that we were called this week, I believe they were called Monday and I was called Tuesday. I go in the 26th and sign my job offer.

As I have read over these other posts, I have some concerns whether I am going to get full time or part time. The call that I recieved didnt mention anything about how many hours I would work. But I see some others on here who were offered jobs with Guest Services where told they had part time.

Does anyone know how I might be able to get clarification?
Frath, that is front desk (basically another title for Front Desk Agent is Guest Services Agent) I would think if they didn't throw out part-time on your job offer call then you likely are full-time plus you were called on Monday I was called on Tuesday when they were likely getting the backfill people in there. I assume I was told because I applied for full-time so to offer a job and to slip that in there later wouldn't be too kosher but I think you are one of the lucky ones. I tried to direct message you on the pay rate so I can get an idea where mine is at if it is a part-time rate or what.

If you had a DT you likely had a background check as well, they tend to do those around the same time period if not even before the DT.

I remember reading that CC received over 100,000 applications for 10,000 jobs, unprecedented turn out, so to all of you, hang in there.

This is the opening schedule the news is reporting (Channel 8), I just a KLAS-TV news alert in my email about it.

"CityCenter To Send Out Job Offers Starting Monday
MGM Mirage's CityCenter annouced today that they intend to launch the "single largest hiring effort in the nation" next Monday, September 21st.

The job offers being sent out are the first going to non-MGM Mirage employees.

CityCenter has also annouced the offical opening dates for the project's various properties:

Dec 1 - Vdara Hotel
Dec 3 - Crystals
Dec 4 - Mandarian Oriental
Dec 16 - ARIA Resort and Casino
The various properties of MGM's mega-resort project have been holding job fairs during much of 2009 and began accepting applications in January of this year."
GREAT post MomMom......It gives us all some hope
