I remember looking a number of times for the Frank James grave among those bluffs at Hill Park. For some reason, I thought it was in a rugged area. However, no one I knew, knew where that grave was.

It was probably in the early 2000s before I finally found it at the other end of the park, directed there by the Blue & Grey Bookshoppe at Walnut and Main.

And now for another trivia question!

What group made a donation to the Maywood Methodist Church during a Sunday service in June of 1922?

Default Truman Road Bridge

This picture was posted in March of 2013. This was the bridge between North Kiger and Fransden.

There was a tragedy associated with this bridge that maybe WCHS-59 will recall. A Chrisman student, with the last name of Charpie, had a accident there and a young lady in the car was killed. I checked my Gleams, and I could only find a Jim Charpie who would have graduated in 1961, but he may have had an older brother. For some reason the name of Jerry Charpie is rumbling around in my mind. Not sure which brother had the accident.

Anthonie, the Charpie family lived on east side of Queen Ridge just before you get to Sea Street.

This is strictly a guess on my part, but I would be that the congregation donated money that Sunday in the way of a tithing. Sorry, I couldn't resist. :-)

Jerry Charpie was in my graduating class. I dont recall the accident though. I am thinking it would have to have occurred after May '59.

Technically correct, but not the answer I seek.

Perhaps it was the Eastern Jackson County Democrats with Judge Truman involved.
