I know where the White Masque Playhouse was located, but don't recall ever seeing it. Do you know what year it closed?

When I found this ad, it was found at newspaper.com and this was from the Examiner. newspaper.com only goes back to part of 1967, if I remember correctly. The only Monday the 25th during the last half of the 60s and all of the 70s was 1970. So, my guess is that it was still active in 1970. When they closed is something with which I am not familiar. I don't recall ever seeing it either.

Where is WCHS 59 when you need him? This would have been one he would have liked.

This was around 1960 or 1961 at WCHS II, on Maple and this is a Mathematics teacher standing on his head. His name was Norman Cox.

It is listed there in the 1960 directory. For years after that I'll have to make a trip to MGC.

Since the only Monday the 25th from 1964 through 1979 was 1970, I am betting it was open in 1970.

Sure do! Good old Finley packed up his mule and sheep and headed for the coast. I also remember the large banner some fans paraded through the stadium at their last game here: "CHUCK YOU FARLEY". Loved it.

Remember it quite well.

That one year w/o MLB . . . My mom and I (both huge baseball fans) stayed up late one night to listen to Catfish Hunter's perfect game that Summer. Oh what might've been. We knew that team was loaded with young talent, as evidenced by the Oakland A's that won the World Series in 1972 1973 and 1974

KC would have supported that team far better than Oakland ever did
