This law in particular is unconstitutional because it is in direct opposition to the tenets of the Fourth Amendment, which deals with the right of individuals to be free from illegal (that word again) search and seizure.
Gosh, I didn't realize our constitution applied to criminal illegal aliens.

Here is the bill btw. I'm sure all those who are hysterical have read it.

Within months, hundreds, if not thousands, of recent immigrants from Brazil and other Latin American countries had fled. The noise, crowding and traffic that had accompanied their arrival over the past decade abated.

So last week, the town rescinded the ordinance, joining a small but growing list of municipalities nationwide that have begun rethinking such laws as their legal and economic consequences have become clearer.

“I don’t think people knew there would be such an economic burden,” said Mayor George Conard, who voted for the original ordinance. “A lot of people did not look three years out.”

Which means we need sensible worker and visitor visa laws, and we need faster service then a snail's pace to process them.

People will come to America, and they will do it legally, if we make it easier to do then sneaking in.

The current rate of people entering this country legally is unsustainable let alone those entering the country illegally. There's also the issue of "brain drain" where the brighter and more intelligent people are moving here as opposed to staying in their own country.

All the more reason to increase our efforts at getting these people to our country legally, instead of encouraging them to sneak in.

Right. You oppose illegal immigration while at the same time, opposing any measure to stop it.

The SS Administration already knows which numbers being used are invalid. It knows of the instances multiple-usage. If you want to go after employers, we need a reliable database and the authority to use it. Any problems with that?

Did you miss the part about "The current rate of people entering this country legally is unsustainable......" This country needs to lower the immigration rate. This land can only support X amount of people and as the population swells you will be continually be putting more strain on the limited resources such as fresh water.

Here's a simple question, how do you expect any of these countries to ever stand on their own two feet if we are continually taking their doctors, scientists and other people that would lead them to greater prosperity?

Aryan Brotherhood - If your white and end up in prison, that's the gang you have to join to stay alive and not get raped by every one else but, they're not thriving there, they're the minority in prison.

Italian Mafia - Who are they...are they still around?

Hells Angels - Who?

I wonder if any of them like to getting their nails done....lol.

Illegal is illegal. Just because crime is a never ending battle in every civilization you can name doesn't mean we shouldn't be fighting it. Having reasonable laws easily understood by the masses and effective policy approaches make all the difference between one society and another. We've sent all the wrong messages, and most of them have been grossly inconsistent.

The presence of illegal aliens fosters a climate of exploitation that sets them up for failure even if they did come here with all the right intentions. Some woman chained in a brothel by human traffickers shouldn't be fearing immigration officials more than her captor. Those here illegally are an unscreened mix. Even those innocent are dragging the dysfunction they meant to avoid with them in the process. M-13 made their millions from illegals needing a ride in addition to drug/ gun trafficking.

Same thing that happens in America-- Doctors flock to cities for big salaries and to heck with rural america in need of doctors. Recooping the price of their education doesn't measure up to rural economies. Same exact thing when money is the end all be all of gov't policy.

I tend to agree with you that the strongest policy is employment enforcement to encourage mass exodus, but it's not nearly enough to deal with all elements. Illegals come in all varieties, and most working off the books won't feel a thing. Drug trade is prime example. Corporate sponsors- the subcontractor loophole is a barn door wide open. Multi prong approach has to happen.

I never thought that I'd see the day...I actually agree with you.

Your Constitution and the rights enumerated therein applies to anyone on American soil.

You would do well to read it.
