Sounds like very state I have ever lived in. But people keep believing that the more money you throw at education, the better the learning. And teacher unions always say it is for the kids. Not sure if that is true.
Just my thoughts....

CFF makes the point I was going to make. And f5fstop actually had some very correct comments about the fact that this is a PRIVATELY OWNED forum and by registering and posting here, you agreed to have your posts moderated. CENSORSHIP is when we don't allow you to speak. MODERATING is when we tell you IN WHICH FORUM/THREAD you may discuss certain topics.

This is for sharing Idaho news, and primarily links to actual news sources (not op-ed pieces). And while there is bound to be some commentary, I've previously noted that on EXTREME hot-button political issues we are NOT allowing political commentary. Gay marriage is one of those polarizing political issues. There are plenty of places in P&OC for you to discuss/debate that issue, but it won't be in the Idaho News thread.

Oops, I was a little quick on the delete button there! Yep, I just commented that I created the thread for posting news in particular.

It's interesting to note that not only is the crime rate low, it's been getting lower (in comparison with other states):

Wyoming and Idaho have also been getting steadily safer over the last decade, but they were both already pretty safe to begin with.

You do have to be careful to lock your cars up around harvest season. Otherwise one of your neighbors is liable to leave fresh produce in your rig.

I miss living in a place where you just keep the keys
in the ignition all the time so you don't lose them.
Boise ain't that place.
