And people are concerned with Kia’s not holding their value. LOL

All of those Toyota incentives sure don’t help resale value on the Highlander.

On the Highlander, Limited with typical options retails for about $49,000, invoice is about $44,600, true market value is about $45,000 minus minimum cash rebate of $3,000 brings it down to $42,000 so easily $6,000 off MSRP.

That is Tellurides LISTED at MSRP - not SELLING at MSRP. That's a big difference...

MSRP and List Price are irrelevant. Actual transaction price - which is not shown there - is what matters.

(Not to mention several of those vehicles in your link are advertised with a list price below MSRP.)

But it's not an Audi. It matter to some what emblem they sit behind. If that weren't the case, Genesis would have driven the 7-series into the ditch by now.

Man bad example
Genesis US car sales figures
BMW 7-series US car sales figures
7 Series sold about 2k cars less than the Genesis last year.

7 Series has been suffering for awhile now.

You are comparing apples to oranges there. Your first link was sales numbers for ALL Genesis models when really you need to compare the 7-Series with the G90, and here is the G99 sakes:

Genesis G90 US car sales figures

The G90 sells less than the 7-Series but both are bad, which isn't a surprise as the large sedan market has been dwindling for years.

https://www.motortrend.com/cars/kia/...uv-comparison/

“And The Verdict Is ...
Both the 2020 Kia Telluride and the 2020 Ford Explorer bring a lot to the table, but the Kia is simply the more well-rounded vehicle. The big Korean also comes with features found in pricier luxury SUVs, such as heated and ventilated second-row seats, a blind-spot monitor, and a self-leveling rear air suspension, while topping out at $46,860.

An equally equipped 2020 Explorer costs well into the $50,000 range, yet the quality, road manners, and comfort pales in comparison against the Telluride. For those reasons, the 2020 Kia Telluride wins this matchup.”

Now if they can just fix that AWD shimmy i'd begin driving them to see if they match our tastes and needs.

No issue as a TSB now addresses it for a rear half shaft.

Demand continues to out perform supply.

By the way, another review where both the Kia and Hyundai beat the competition.

“Not long ago, paying $50,000 for a Kia would have seemed ridiculous. Now there's one that seems like a ridiculous steal at $50,000.”

I see where a TSB is mentioned on one of the Hyundai/Kia forums, but no link and I can't find one on the Kia sight that links TSB/RECALLS, etc.

I found this quote, from 34 minutes ago, at the bottom of the post mentioning, but not linking the TSB:

"Just as an update, service changed the rear drive shaft and then the 4WD coupler and it improved things but did not remove the vibration. I then started the arbitration process. While waiting on arbitration, service wanted to replace the rear drive shaft and the 4WD coupler again. So we did that and after I ran a 55 mile highway test found that there was still vibration. Perhaps mine needed the rear differential as Albert said fixed his - but with arbitration, I am scheduled to have Kia repurchase the vehicle. Kia Tech Line, although slow to believe we all had a problem, has ended up working hard on a fix. My service department at Cronin Kia in Harrison, Ohio has fully worked on the problem. I truly hope that the issue is soon fully resolved since the Telluride is such a great concept."

I did like what I saw at the Kia dealer. I just can't get past the TELURIDE in big chrome letters across the hood. The Palisades is a bit more modest for our tastes, yet still has all the bells and whistles.
Maybe next year after the dust settles at the dealer's driveways.
