Right. Selling it now=How much it's worth now. The question is how much you are going to lose, that's the unknown. Also, often, the "appraised" value might not necessarily be the amount of money that you should expect to receive if you were to sell the property.

I wouldn't consider Citydata an authoritative resource in appraising real estate. Real estate doesn't have to include homes, BTW.

Disclaimer: (I'm sure there are people much more familiar with home buying/selling/investments than I on this forum. I do dabble in land investments, and my knowledge area in RE is primarily in that realm)

Do you know the number of millionnaires in TEXAS ? I know it's 7.2 million millionnaires in the US.
