This isn't a thread that is meant to be talked about how boring Houston is, but yet how fun Houston is as far as its club scene. I do a lot of reseacrh and reading on Houston. Just from reading, I found out that Houston had more bars than the national average and has a great Reggae club scene. From hearing all the BORING comments about Houston, it never crossed my mind that Houston has more bars than the national scene and has a good Reggae club scene.

I don't know much about it, but people say so.

We also have the most strip clubs in the country and some of the best! [Just ask Drake and Baby lol]

More does not necessarily mean better.

Did I say better??? However, some of Houston's strip clubs have been chosen as some of the best.

Nope. I say that because it is more Caribbean scene than Reggae.

I would say the majority of Caribbean people in Houston are Eastern caribbean islanders (Mainly Trinidadians, Dominicans, Bajans, Grenadians). There are lots of Jamaicans too, but Eastern Caribbean islanders are more uniform as a group than The Western Caribbean.

Reggae music is just one type of Caribbean music.

In The East the music is more Calypso, Soca, and hip hop infused nonsense.

In the west it is not so uniform.

Anyway back to your question I say no because since Reggae is mainly Jamaican and the Houston Caribbean population is more than just Jamaican, the clubs play more Soca and the Caribbean hip hop nonsense than Reggae. They do play Reggae but I would not say we have a good reggae scene here

As far as clubbing its ok, I use to hang out a La Strada on Sundays. They use to have really good house music and atmosphere but they were shut down. Just as The Social was recently. Both favorite spots of mine that I miss.

Fortunately, Houston is more of a bar scene than a club scene.
