Kinda what I thought too when I first moved to LA; that older men are dressing like teenage boys.

But H&M also caters to a David Beckham type style too. It's a nice store with a mix for everyone at affordable prices. It sure as hell classier than Express.

No one is "refudiating" that. Go ahead, I know you'll Google up "refudiate"!

As long as Houston thinks having something like H&M is what it takes to be "world class," it will never be "world class". Furthermore, development of the $30k millionaire lifestyle is the antithesis of "world class".

Well dang, I thought it was pretty nice to have a developing city with a decent standard of living for most people. So to be world class there needs to be a huge divide between rich and poor like in LA and NYC?

h &m as a monicker of global success? How have we sunk this low?
It's a few threads woven together for 2 dollars, sold for 15,that dissolve after one wash. How is this status for a larger city?

Back on topic..last 6 months the traffic has gotten far worse along the western corridor. Biggest change is the insanity along the western stretch to pack in above infrastructural capacity.

Unless there was a war... I don't think any city in the World changes much in 6 months

Barcelona Fan you seem more like the LA type to me focused on the superficial.....

The sarcasm comes from the way you asked the question.... changed since you left 6 months ago and ohhing and ahhing about things and buildings. A city is people not things or buildings.... Sounds like LA is the place for you in my limited view of your value system

I just couldn't see any my friends rock the skinny jeans. I can barely stand them in LA.

Well looking at these pic Houston was in desperate need of a H&M.

I think the OP was kidding about that. I love H&M because it's cheap but I certainly would not value a city based on any type of store being there. And to further prove my point, the Houston Galleria is probably one of the most upscale if not THE most upscale mall in America yet most of you deny that Houston is deserving of such class. And to that point, you would be right. You can't judge a city based on the chicness or the number of high end retailers or businesses. If you did, Scottsdale, AZ would be the most glamorous city in the country.
