And then the stupid kids would line up the ends with the primer and shoot them with their BB gun. All fun and games until that BB comes flying right back at you and lodges a half inch into your arm.
i remember marbles. my favorites were the big ones. we had a name for them but i dont remember it now. i had a hula hoop to but was never that good at it. i still play clue. i have the video clue now. i didnt do much with baseball cards then, i do now, the only cards i used to play with were regular cards. i used to attach them to the spokes of my bike.
okay, there was the 'clackers', two balls and a string and you clacked them together... kinda like an australian weapon..oh my
then there were the 'j darts?' where you put two hoops on the ground and tried to throw the darts into the hoop from across the yard. I remember the day that did not work out to well with our neighbors....
Remmbr the electric football games with the plastic players. You line them up, turn on the board, and the players were suppose to "run" down the field. Mine always ran in circles or fell over and the running back would always lose the ball.
Anybody here remember the game "Schmo"? It was ALL I wanted for Christmas in about 1964. My parents were horrified because they thought "schmo" was a word nice little girls shouldn't say. Anyway, it came rolled up in a tube and you had to use a brick or a nice, heavy book to hold it down. Can't remember anything else about it, but when I found it under the tree I thought I was the luckiest kid in Anaheim.
